DISCLAIMER

• Main menu screen (fanart.screen and fanart-subgroup.screen) have been completely recoded allowing for INSTANT fanart loading.
• GRID menu mode has been removed
• The bigger the screen resolution the more meedio struggles with fullscreen overlays inside modules so don't expect miracles especially when using full HD resolution (1920 x 1080).

• enable GLOBAL FANART (OFF - enabling this will have negative impact on screens loading speed)
• show fanart in shutdown / presets screen (OFF)
• show fanart in weather screen (OFF)
• show fanart in pictures screen (OFF)
• show fanart in music screns (music library, meemusic jukebox and nowplaying screen) (OFF)

• Theme is using fullscreen fanart and tv series posters format instead of wide banners as default mode in both TV-shows modules. Currently there is no importer to automatically download posters from TVDB.com so you need to manually replace existing banners images with posters or you can switch to banner mode in theme properties. Posters are available trough TVDB.com API so maybe if enough people complain they will be added to the meeTVshows importer...?
• when disabling TV-shows fanart in theme properties TV Night3 is automatically set to the classic mode with standard grid series selection menu and loading and browsing trough module is instant. Same thing can be set to the meeTVshows using module config.
• TVN3 screen has been completely rewritten and reorganized to speed up browsing and fanart loading so until proper support is added trough module code expect erratic behavior and occasional bugs and glitches
• Due to the technical limitation of instant fanart loading in main screen flash news ticker is not supported anymore so use RSS news feed instead and set cycle interval to 5-10 sec

• Additionally you can load 4 predefined theme presets or save your current theme settings as 3 custom theme presets and change themes looks and functionality with a single action... enjoy

• set theme mode in theme properties. All theme modes have same functionality so don't be afraid to explore and find the one to your liking

THEME PRESETS

• while in home screen hit DISPLAY to load theme preset loader. Select one of the 6 predefined presets and meedio will restart using new theme layout. You can also save your current theme settings as 3 custom presets. On the same screen hit SAVE1, SAVE2 or SAVE3 to save custom preset respectively.

THEME FANART

• theme was designed with fanart in mind and it uses fanart images extensively

• you have to use Enhanced Group Module (EGM) for main screen group and subgroups fanart
• you have to use GLOBAL FANART for everything else
• you can download almost 1000 (!) HQ (1920 x 1080) fanart images from Meedio fanart thread or for french users Meedio FR Fanarts
• there is a large fanart images collection created for XBMC AEON theme over at Aeonproject web page and those images will fit nicely into Chrome
• there is large music fanart collection over at www.htbackdrops.com
• there is large movies fanart collection over at www.meligrove.com that has ALL of the movies fanart from meedio fanart thread and much more

THEME SPLASH SCREEN

• copy Brand folder from meedioChrome folder to the Meedio Ultimate folder and meedio will use Chrome branded splash screen on startup

DATAFEEDS SETUP

(this step is optional but it's recommended if you want for theme to look as advertised)

Now playing info

• make sure you have SilenceMee plugin installed and enabled in theme configuration and theme will automatically show now playing info on main and shutdown screens

Weather datafeed

• use Weathered importer to create your weather library
• open datafeedserver properties
• set you weather datafeed using your weather library
• save it as weather.datafeed in ..\Meedio Ultimate\plugins\general\DatafeedServer\

(this way feed won't be overwritten every time you upgrade or change theme)

News datafeed

• create your RSS library using built in RSS feed importer
• open datafeedserver properties
• set you RSS datafeed using your RSS library
• set scroll interval to 5-10 sec
• save it as RSS.datafeed in ..\Meedio Ultimate\plugins\general\DatafeedServer\

(this way feed won't be overwritten every time you upgrade or change theme)

E-mail datafeed

1. if you want to use E-MAIL library

• create email library using pop3 importer
• install and add E-MAIL module and set it to use that library
• install and enable Meedio Helper plugin and configure it to monitor your email library

2. if you want to use pop3Feed plugin

• install pop3Feed plugin and enable it in meedio configuration

Music

• use Audio Tag Importer to create music library and import music tags and covers
• use Music Library module (built in) and meeMusic Jukebox module to browse and play music
• install MeeSicIP plugin and create dynamic playlists on the fly from any music screen
• install meeLyrics plugin and automatically download and show lyrics while playing music

• use meeTVshows module or TV Night3 module to browse and play TV Shows (fanart and media info supported)

Online media

• use MeeMedia module to browse and play more then 30 different media sites (audio, video and images)

News

• create NEWS library using built in RSS feed importer
• add EMM (Enhanced Media Module) and set it to use that library
• set your main alternate screen to NewsMedia and your details screen to News respectively

Comics

• create COMICS library using built in Comics importer
• add built in Media Module and set it to use Comics library
• set your main alternate screen to Comics and your details screen to Comics respectively

MovieTimes VBNET

• use MovieTimes VBNet importer to populate your local Cinema / Movie session times...
• create CINEMA library using the MovieTimes VBNet importer
• add EMM (Enhanced Media Module) and set it to use your CINEMA library
• set your main alternate screen to Media and your details screen to MoviesTimesVBNet respectively
• set the subtitle tag to theater to show the cinema name on the details screen

Games

• 1. Install game wherever you want

• 2. add EGM module in meedio and set alternate screen to subgroup-games

• 3. add program module(s) and set it to launch your game(s)

• 4. set icon using icon manager

• 5. if you want game description you have to manually copy/paste game review from the net into description field

• 6. if you want game fanart to show you have to drop fanart image into your fanart games folder (see more under GAMES FANART SECTION )

• for advanced setup you can nest program modules meaning that you can add another program module into first program module so you can launch some other program, wait until it's finished and then launch game

I'm using it to launch ultramon to set TV as primary monitor, after that I launch game fullscreen on TV and when games finishes restore monitors:

Requirements

• Enhanced Group Module (EGM)

Fanart library setup

(skip this step if you already have fanart library)

1. create fanart folder anywhere you want

• inside that folder create subfolders using your menu names as subfolder names
• drop images you want to use as fanart inside those subfolders respectively :

e.g.

fanart folder = \\NAS\library\fanart\

menu name = WhateverMenuName

fanart image = \\NAS\library\fanart\WhateverMenuName\something.jpg

• you can add folder named misc and any images in that folder will be used as default background when no fanart exist
• you can use any names you want but make sure that menu item names and subfolder names are match

2. create fanart library using Enhanced Tag Mask Importer and set your fanart folder as root using this exact tag mask:

  <category>\<name>.<>

Enhanced Group Module setup

INSTALLATION

(skip this step if you already have EGM installed and your root menu set)

• install EGM
• open the configuration.xml located in meedioData folder, look for menu-item id="102" and replace :

  plugin-id="{C116996E-F64E-4C38-9D77-B0BBDF7A8020}"

with

  plugin-id="{1960511A-8316-4C05-8367-14733BFCD814}"

• open meedio configuration panel, make any necessary changes to module and save !
• this will replace your meedio root regular group menu with Enhanced Group Menu

• set alternate screen to: fanart and fanart-subgroup respectively
• set module properties:

GLOBAL FANART

• IMPORTANT

EGM (Enhanced Group Module) can handle only group and subgroup fanart using fanart library but other meedio modules do not have access to fanart library so in order to use fanart in other modules aynwhere in meedio we need to create additional global fanart folder located inside meedioData folder

MODULES FANART

• IMPORTANT
• enabling Global fanart option in theme properties will have negative impact on screens loading speed
• place your fanart images in global fanart folder and theme will use any matching module caption as fanart
• set Enable global fanart option in theme properties to Yes

e.g

 module name = meeMedia
 module caption = online videos
 fanart image = C:\Meedio\MeedioData\fanart\online videos.jpg

MUSIC FANART

• IMPORTANT

for music fanart you need to create additional music fanart folder located inside global fanart folder

• set Show fanart in music screns (music library, meemusic jukebox and nowplaying screen) option in theme properties to Yes
• set Show album cover as fanart in theme properties to Yes and theme will use album cover as now playing fanart image if there is no matching fanart found

• theme will use any matching now playing artist name as fanart in this screens and modules:

• theme will use matching fanart artist images when browsing music library in albums and tracks screens
• theme will use matching fanart genre images when browsing music library by genre

for games fanart you need to create additional fanart games folder located inside global fanart folder

• place images in games fanart folder and theme will use any matching game name image as fanart while browsing game titles
• set your subgroup screen to subgroup-games
• set Show fanart in subgroup-games screen option in theme properties to Yes

• place your weather fanart image in global fanart folder if you want weather fanart image to show

MY MOVIES MODULE

• use moviemee importer to import movies fanart
• use myMovies module for browsing movies with fanart
• set Show fanart in MyMovies details option in theme properties to Yes (default)

• toggle MyMovies menu items in theme properties

TV SHOWS MODULES

• use meeTVshows importer to import TV shows fanart using fullscreen fanart type option in importer
• use meeTVshows module or TV Night 3 module for browsing TV shows
• set Show fanart in TV-shows module(s) option in theme properties to Yes
• set Series view in TV-shows module(s) option in theme properties to

banners

posters (default)

• IMPORTANT

currently there is no importer to automatically download posters from TVDB.com so you need to manually replace banners with posters.

(Simply overwrite existing banners with posters using same file name)
