          * you can use any names you want but make sure that menu item names and fanart images names are match
        e.g.
        menu name = Movies
        fanart image = C:\meedio\meedioData\fanart\movies.jpg
        ...
        menu name = WhateverNameYouWant
        fanart image = C:\meedio\meedioData\fanart\WhateverNameYouWant.jpg
        ...

        Image

    FANART Library mode

    REQUIREMENTS

    INSTALLATION

    1. FANART LIBRARY
    (skip this step if already have fanart library)

    - create fanart folder anywhere you want
    - inside that folder create subfolders using your menu names as subfolder names
    - drop images you want to use as fanart inside those subfolders respectively :
      e.g.
      fanart folder = \\NAS\library\fanart\
      menu name = WhateverMenuName
      fanart image = \\NAS\library\fanart\WhateverMenuName\something.jpg
        * you can use any names you want but make sure that menu item names and subfolder names are match
      Image

      - you can also add folder named misc and any images in that folder will be used as default background when no fanart exist

    - create fanart library using Enhanced Tag Mask Importer and set your fanart folder as root using this exact tag mask:
      <category>\<name>.<>

      IMPORTANT - your fanart library name must be fanart :!:
      Image

    2. ENHANCED GROUP MODULE

    - install EGM
    - set you meedio root to use EGM :

      open the configuration.xml located in meedioData folder and look for menu-item id="102" and replace the:
        plugin-id="{C116996E-F64E-4C38-9D77-B0BBDF7A8020}"
      with
        plugin-id="{1960511A-8316-4C05-8367-14733BFCD814}"
      then load the configuration and make any necessary changes and save :!:

    - set alternate screen(s) to:
      fanart / fanart-subgroup
      zune / zune-subgroup
    - set module properties:
      Image
    - set fanart mode in theme properties to use fanart library
      Image

    NAVIGATION
      MENU (F10) - jumps to nowplaying screen
      DISPLAY (INS) - toggles ticker / module description
      CHANNELUP (PgUP) - previous fanart image
      CHANNELDN (PgDOWN) - next fanart image
      BACK - toggles shutdown menu

      - shutdown mode = meedio
        LOCK activates flurry screensaver
        RESTART restarts meedio
        SHUTDOWN closes meedio
      - shutdown mode = windows
        LOCK lock PC
        RESTART restarts PC
        SHUTDOWN shutdown PC

    DISCLAIMER
      - the bigger the screen resolution the more meedio struggles with fullscreen overlay so don't expect miracles especially on 1920x1080
      - hopefully meediOS will bring DX or openGL accelerated interface with some nice fading and/or animations.

Everything else is optional but be sure to go to theme > settings to fine tune themes look and feel...

    Meedio Helper - required by E-mail module and Ratings menu in nowplaying screen

    Recomended:

    meeLyrics - music lyrics support
    NewsTicker - news feeds on main screen
    meeTVshows Importer - TVshows importer with fanart support

ICON MANAGER
If you are having problems running icon manager you should first run meedio configuration panel and remove icons and backgrounds names from ALL of the modules and then start meedio and set your icons and backgrounds via icon manager module :
Image Image Image
To avoid possible problems keep in mind that while changing icons and/or backgrounds from inside meedio - meedio configuration panel must be closed

WEATHER DATAFEED
- open datafeed seerver properties
- set you weather feed
- save it as weather.datafeed in ..\Meedio Ultimate\plugins\general\DatafeedServer\ so it won't be overwritten every time you upgrade or change theme
    Image
EYECANDY
up from v2 there are few extra option in theme settings to change theme's look:
    - change tag-color and button color:
    Image Image Image Image Image

    - new backgrounds Vintage, Carbon, Rebel and Black
    - option to change default backgrounds set globally:
    Image Image Image Image

    MUSIC SETUP - using MusicLibrary module and meeMusic Jukebox:
    Use Audio tag importer for creating music library and for best result you should set views using available modes :
      While in music library or in nowplaying screen use 0-5 buttons on the remote to set ratings or you can use Ratings menu in nowplaying screen (requires meedio helper):
        0 = clear rating
        1 = poor
        2 = fair
        3 = good
        4 = very good
        5 = excellent

        Image
      Alternatively you can use Media file browser module, add your music folder and use meedio as simple file browser:
        Image
      While in fullscreen visualization mode you can use available player commands :
        play
        pause
        prev
        next
        stop
        rew
        ffwd
        up, channelUP
        - prev vis
        down, channelDOWN - next vis
        select, info, display - toggle nowplaying info
        Image
        In the screenshot(s) I'm using
          -rabbithole 1.1
          -pixel glissade 2.0
        avaliable from xmplay.com: http://support.xmplay.com/file.php?cat_id=6
    MOVIES SETUP- using Media module, Enhanced Media module* , MyMovies or MovieNight2:
    Easiest way to manage movies is to reorganize movies folder structure so that every movie is in it's own folder:
    \movies\NameOfTheMovie\something.avi

      After that create movies library using these plugins:
      Enhanced Tag Mask File importer - extract movie name using folder name
      IMDBmee2 importer or movieMee importer - retrieves movie info from IMDb using movie name
      AllMovieSynopsis importer * - retrieves extra info using IMDB ID created by IMDb importer
      (*alternatively you can use MovieNightExtras for retrieving extra info)

      Image Image Image
      Now all you have to do is to add media module to meedio to show all that data. There are several media modules available but they are all using same data so either one would do :
      media module
      enhanced media module
      my movies
      MovieNight 2

      When using MovieNight 2 module NO views are necessary but for other modules for best result you should create views in media library using available modes :Alternatively you can use Media file browser module, add your movies folder and use meedio as simple file browser:
        Image
    TV SHOWS SETUP
    Easiest way to manage TV shows is to reorganize TV shows folder structure so that every series and season is in it's own folder:
    \TV shows\SeriesName\SeasonNumber\somethingS01E01something.avi

      We need only two importers:
        Regex importer - extracts series name, season number, episode number

        meeTVshows importer - retrieves Series / Seasons / Episodes info / series banners / season posters / fanart images from thetvdb.com
        First we create new TV shows library and add importers:
        c:\TV\SeriesName\something\somethingS01E01something.avi

        root folder =c:\TV
          Image Image
        Key element is regular expression filed:
        (?<SeriesName>.*)\\(?<SeasonName>.*)\\.*((s|S)(?<SeasonNumber>[0-9][0-9])(e|E)(?<EpisodeNumber>[0-9][0-9]))(.(?<Name>.*)|.*)\.(?<FileType>...)

        - note that actual name of the file is at NO relevance at all as long as it has S01E01 in it and real episode Name and all other info meeTVshows retrieves from thetvdb.com
        c:\TV\Lost\Season 04\lost.s04e01.720p.hdtv.x264-hdq.mkv

          SeriesName = Lost
          seasonName = Season 04
          seasonNumber = 04
          episodeNumber = 01
          Name = 720p.hdtv.x264-hdq
          FileType = mkv
        - note that SeasonName is in fact dummy field (as season number is extracted from file name) so you can replace it with any tag you want.

        e.g.
        I'm using it to import {mediatype} tag so I can load matching case
        c:\TV\Heroes\hddvd\Heroes.S02E08.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION.mkv

        (?<SeriesName>.*)\\(?<mediatype>.*)\\.*((s|S)(?<SeasonNumber>[0-9][0-9])(e|E)(?<EpisodeNumber>[0-9][0-9]))(.(?<Name>.*)|.*)\.(?<FileType>...)

          SeriesName = Heroes
          mediatype = hddvd
          seasonNumber = 02
          episodeNumber = 08
          Name = 720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION
          FileType = mkv

        - alternatively if using different naming scheme for you episodes you can try different regex code instead:
          c:\TV\SeriesName\something\something.1x12.something.avi
          (?<SeriesName>.*)\\(?<mediatype>.*)\\.*((?<SeasonNumber>[0-9])(x|X)(?<EpisodeNumber>[0-9][0-9]))(.(?<Name>.*)|.*)\.(?<FileType>...)

          c:\TV\SeriesName\something\something.[112].something.avi
          (?<SeriesName>.*)\\(?<mediatype>.*)\\.*((?<SeasonNumber>[0-9])(?<EpisodeNumber>[0-9][0-9]))(.(?<Name>.*)|.*)\.(?<FileType>...)
        After running importers all we need is to add meeTVshows module or TV Night module to display data in meedio:
        - mediainfo is supported so you can run mediainfo importer in your episodes library to have relevant media info displayed
        - mediatype is supported so if you have {mediatype} tag in your library screen will check for bluray or hddvd values and display matching case:
            if {mediatype} = 'bluray' load BR-case-img
            if {mediatype} = 'hddvd' load HD-DVD-case-img
            else load DVD-case-img
          F10 toggles toolbar
          INS key toggles:
            alpha menu / series overview
            filmstrip / regular menu
      Launch Videos SETUP
      For Launch Videos use enhanced media module and set your alternate screen files to LaunchVideos and LaunchDetails respectively :
      E-mail SETUP
      create E-mail library using pop3 importer and then add E-mail module and set it up to use that library. You can also install pop3Feed plugin and enable it and meedio will show email info on main screen:
      NEWS (rss ) SETUP
      create NEWS library using built in RSS feed importer and add views to the library. After that add new media module or Enhanced media module (if you want option to update feeds from inside meedio). Set your screens to newsMedia and news respectively :
      NEWS TICKER SETUP
      You can use same NEWS library you are using for news module or you can create new one and have different data scroll in the ticker.
        First - create your RSS library using built in RSS feed importer.
        Second - export that library into XML file using mee2xml importer
        Third - set news ticker plugin to use that XML file :
        Image Image Image
        Finally enable ticker in theme > settings and optionally you can change ticker skin using avaliable options :
        RSS
        Globe
        Film
        Vinyl

        Image
        Image
        recomended RGB color settings for news ticker full-time plugin:
          font (white) - 255 255 255
          background1 - 0 0 0
          background2 - 54 62 64 (list)
          background2 - 17 26 27 (dock)
          channel (vintage green) - 196 230 115
          separator (vintage green) - 196 230 115
      SPEECH command SETUP
      enable and setup the full-time-plugin in meedio configuration panel and then enable it again in theme > settings:
        Image
      Internet Browser
      Internet browser module uses IE engine so if you are annoyed with adds you should use 3rd party program to remove them cause integrated addons doesn't seems to work inside meedio. Personally I have great results with AdMuncher app.
      Internet browser commands:
        play- reload page
        next - zoom in
        prev - zoom out
        rew - history back
        ffwd - history next
        Channel UP - page up
        Channel DOWN - page down
        display - navigate links
        Image Image
      MAIN MENU OPTIONS
      Set you main screen in theme > settings using avaliable options:
        list
        grid
        dock

        Image Image
      SUBMENU OPTIONS
      Set your submenus using alternate screen option in configuration panel using available screens:
        subgroup (default list view)
        subgroup-dock
        subgroup-grid

        Image Image
        There are also two more separate subgroup screens :
        subgroup-shutdown for the shutdown, lock,restart and exit icons :
        Image Image

        subgroup-games
        Image Image

      That's it, this is something that suit my needs so it might not be for everyone but still you may find it usefull.
      In any case let me know how it goes ;)

What tags are needed for the Artist Details page? I've been looking through the nowplaying.screen file but I must have missed it.

This are the tags :

{artistinfo}
{albuminfo}
{artistimage}

I'm using only audio tag importer so I have only standard tags in my music library and I don't know what importer I need to fill that extra info...

:D :D :D :D Great looking theme!

Just playing around a bit and having trouble with a few things:

In TVNight (I've copied the night template to the theme directory)

1) I can't select the filters/search or letters on the far left using the arrow keys

2) I can't see when I have the series selected on the left side.

Thanks!

1) I can't select the filters/search or letters on the far left using the arrow keys

2) I can't see when I have the series selected on the left side.

Thanks!

there is no night module support yet (module is using some non standard meedio formats), I'm working on that... in the mean time try meeTvshows, it uses same library tags and as you can see from preview it should work fine.

(fixed in new version)
Copy this resources in meedioVintage folder (overwrite the old one) and let me now how it's working... it will take care of menu selection and it should at least make TVNight usable.

It's working fine here, what resources file are you using - original or the new one I posted ?
Anyone else have problems with icon manager ?

As for the meepee plugin, I don't use it but I look into it...

One other thing, when I try to edit plugin details in OpenMAID I get ''Sorry, you are not authorised to edit this addon." message. How can I add link to this thread to the plugin details and how do I add update to the theme ?

Icon Manager is working for me using the original default.resources. I haven't had a chance to try the new one yet.
