@crn
Seems college humor has changed their site, I'll try to get that fixed today.

YouPorn needs some cookies set in IE, go to open website in the plug-in menu and click through the "I am over 18" dialog and then go back to the plug-in. these cookies will expire in a few weeks, so you'll have to go through these steps again.

@Zag
Nice to see MeeMedia on the front page 8)

description is a bit off though
Quote:
Current sites supported include: youtube, hulu, cnet tv, funny or die, ZeroPunctuation, itunes trailers and ninjavideos.
funny or die and ninjavideos -> do not have a MeediOS version, ZeroPunctuation -> used to have a plug-in on it's own, now it's just one of the channels of the Escapist plug-in.

also I added few extra menu modes to the respective screens (big list, posters, images, thumbs...etc) so I was wondering would it be possible for each plugin to remember selected menu mode ?

@crn

Great work on those screens so far!

I couldn't figure out how to switch menu modes with my very limited experience with the WPFUI ;)

So far I think the "menu mode" should be a plug-in setting, so developers can set the default mode and users can switch in the plug-in settings and by the user using the "display key".

But before I can say anything conclusive, please share the screens you have so far, so I can try to figure out how to switch the menu modes from code.

IMeedioMenu m;
...
m.Mode = "unstandardized-mode-name";
Please note that setting something as visual as a mode in code is strongly discouraged. Nothing guarantees whether "unstandardized-mode-name" is defined in a certain theme. Also unfortunately nobody (including me) came up with a good idea how to set and store a mode per UI instance or at least per theme.

You have to update Evolution to 1.2.9 to use new screens so I'll PM you theme later today

... as for menu modes I was hoping that module can keep track of menu modes and read/write changes to each plugin *.dat file ?
(we done something similar with view modes in the Enhanced Library Browser Module so you could contact flcsd for help)

yes, the "menu mode" would belong to the standard plug-in settings in the module's plugins.dat file, this way we can make it a mandatory setting for the plug-in developers.

yes but different themes could have different menu modes and plugin creator have no idea what menu mode will be supported in given theme. Ideally module should monitor menu mode value and write it to the *.dat file so it could work for all the themes. If menu mode is not supported in new theme user should simply hit DISPLAY and change mode and module will use available mode and record change in the dat file... possible ?

My thoughts are to define the menu modes in the screen file if possible and standardize the menu mode names. That way we can have theme independant menu mode definitions in the default screens and allow a theme's screen to overwrite the default in one go.

e.g.

can we have Favorites category ?

e.g.
    Audio
    Images
    Video
    Favorites

that way we could skip browsing trough various categories and go directly to the favorite sites ?
